Project Analysis
o Discuss analysis of your proposed system using one of the following methods: JAD Joint Application Development), RAD (Rapid Application Development) or Agile methods for requirements modelling.
Notice that since you are not analyzing an established business you just want to produce justifications for your selection from research of the above methods and understanding the type of the project you embark upon. Present and discuss that justification.
Having decided on the modelling method, discuss the preferred and hence, selected modelling technique: FDD (Functional Decomposition Diagram) or UML (Unified Modelling Language).
Discuss facts that will need to be learned in the modelling process and what technique will be employed in fact finding.
o Prepare a context diagram and diagram 0 for the new system. Illustrate the process model of your proposed system. You can use Microsoft Office to develop the diagram (SmartArt).
o Provide an explanation of the projected cost. Although the project is hypothetical, you need to present dollar figures that will represent hardware input, software, and labor. Your proposed cost should be in a form of itemized list with explanation of what dollar figure is for what item and for what reason.
o Various alternatives (at least one) to every stage of the analysis should be investigated and discussed. May include in-house development versus contracted.
o Should fit on 6-8 pages. MLA or APA standard of academic writing. Names of the participating team mates put on top of the first page.
o Your analysis part will follow the proposal that you completed or the first stage. Have it edited based on my comments, if needed.
o Your work should consist of two parts headed accordingly, “Proposal” and “Analysis”.
