The Executive Summary should, at a minimum, answer the following:

  • What is your business, product, or service?
  • Product/service name.
  • How will you source the intermediate products/services that comprise yourproduct or service, if applicable?
  • What/who is your market?
  • Why is your product/service needed in the market that you are attempting toenter? What problem are you trying to solve?
  • What are some keys to success?Requirements:
  • Submit a Word document in APA format.
  • Six to eight pages in length, not counting the cover sheet and reference pages.
  • As this is an executive summary, in-text citations are not required; however,when outside sources are used, they should be listed on a References page attached to the end.

PART 2

This is the second part of your business plan development. In this submission, you will detail the product/service as well as provide the necessary details to secure the funding required for your start-up and launch. In this section, you may find it helpful to include charts, figures, graphs, and other images to support your narrative. Refer to the guide in writing the business plan provided by SBA.gov.

Instructions:

The Final Business Plan should, at a minimum, should expand on the following:

  • Your business, product, or service? Describe in detail.
  • Product/service name. Will it be trademarked, copyrighted?
  • What/who is your market?
  • Why is your product/service needed in the market that you are attempting to enter? What problem are you trying to solve?
  • Due to the short time that you have had to develop your product/service; many assumptions and estimates will have to be made in order to complete the Business Plan – be reasonable and when appropriate, provide logic and justifications used for your assumptions.
  • Think SWOT as you develop your business plan.
  • You will use information contained in Unit 5’s Executive Summary – however,you may not copy and paste sections of text into this submission.Requirements:
  • Submit a Word document in APA format.
  • Eight – ten pages in length, not counting the cover sheet and referencepages.
