Today, big data has been adopted in varied industries, including the healthcare field. This paper focuses on the different utilizations of big data in the healthcare industry and how this aid in effective decision making. The paper focuses on the different sources of information and data within the healthcare industry, how this data is analyzed, and how this aid in predicting future events. Largely, the paper focuses on how big data has been utilized to enhance the quality of service delivery in the healthcare industry. The paper also focuses on some of the limitations associated with the use of big data in the industry.
