Genetically Modified Organisms (GMO) and their use is a very hot button topic. People seem to be vehemently against or for their use. The following article did not mention the name of the most common GMO in the U.S., RoundUp Ready corn, cotton, soybean or canola, but you should know these names. There are ongoing debates and legal battles about these GMO’s. The company that developed the GMO, Monsanto, has sued farmers for patent infringement after the RoundUp Ready gene was found in the farmers crops…even though the farmers had not planted the GMO crop. The likely culprit was pollinators. Just another issue that needs to be addressed when dealing with this new technology. After reading this article:
