Assignment Instructions

The British Empire is built on military as well an economic success. For this assignment, you are going to be a career military member serving somewhere in the British Empire. You can be in India from 1845-1860, North America from 1763-1780, or Africa from 1885-1910.

You will write 3 letters home to your family/friends—it does not have to be the same person each time. You need to comment on events occurring in the area you are serving over at least 10 years.

Please consult at least 2 sources to ensure accuracy for this assignment. This assignment needs to be at least 2 pages, not including title page and bibliography.
