The informative speech is a “how-to” speech or a speech that “teaches or informs” the audience about the topic of your choosing. It can be as simple as how to make country lemonade, or a speech that informs the audience on the dangers of an inactive lifestyle, or even teaches the dos and don’ts of road-side emergencies, its up to you. The purpose of the speech is to get you to sharpen and or develop the specific skill set of researching and presenting data. You will need these skills for the next assignment.
