Overview:
You must complete and receive a grade for this assignment (Outlining A Short Essay), before you begin the following Essay (Project: Short Essay).
Outlines can be very helpful in writing because they serve as a “map” of your writing to help keep you focused when you write and also act as an overview to your paper so your audience knows what they will be reading.
The outline is made up of a few parts:
Thesis
Main points
Sub-points
Each of these parts is necessary for a complete outline. You will need to write an outline that will be used in the next project. It must contain at least three main points (I, II, III) and at least two sub-points (A, B, C) under each main point.

The formatting for all writing assignments (essays, projects, reports, etc.) at Enlightium Academy should be in MLA style (heading, header, title, double spacing, documentation).
Works cited entries usually include authors, title, primary source, location, and dates. Though some sources require additional things to these in MLA format, these are the most basic requirements for MLA format citations.
Remember that at ECA using only a URL is not a proper works cited page, and will not be treated like a works cited page. If you only use URLs, you can get in trouble for plagiarism and receive a reduced score (usually a 40% decrease).
