Practicum Journal Entry #3: Interprofessional Collaborative Practice
The focus of the third and final entry in your journal will be on interprofessional collaborative practice. You will complete and finalize this journal entry this week.
Your journal entries represent a reflection of the experiences and observations you have made during your practicum. You must demonstrate how you are advancing your knowledge in your clinical specialty area.
A journal entry submission is required in the assigned week, even if you are not on site that week. If you are not on site for a week in which a journal entry is due, reflect on experiences from any of the previous weeks of this course. Place the references for each week’s entry immediately after that week’s content. Remember to use APA style when writing your journal entry and references.
To prepare and develop your journal entry:
As you develop the journal entry outlined below, keep in mind that your goal is to provide a narrative account that captures your clinical experiences and demonstrates how you are advancing and applying your knowledge in the area of interprofessional collaborative practice as it applies to advanced physical assessment, pathophysiology, and pharmacology.
Review the Learning Resources for this week related to IPC and also specifically review the “Core Competencies for Interprofessional Collaborative Practice: Report of an Expert Panel” resource to guide you as you complete your journal entry.
Review the QSEN Competencies (https://qsen.org/competencies/pre-licensure-ksas/) related to interprofessional collaborative practice as you prepare for your journal entry
