Short poem analysis essay

The purpose of this assignment is to give you an opportunity to apply what you’ve learned about poetic forms, devices and techniques, so that you can analyze and interpret a short poem.You will read the poem critically; I recommend that you annotate the poem as demonstrated in Lesson 3. Then, you will analyze the poem and write a clear, well-organized essay that elaborates on the various devices and techniques the poet uses in order to establish the poem’s theme and the significance of that theme.
