For the Thematic or Production Analysis paper, you should choose the following three films we’ve viewed to write a comparative thematic or production analysis paper:

Comparative Thematic or Production Analysis of 3 films: You will apply theories and methods you’ve learned in the class in a sustained paper of 2600 words. Focus your paper on one of the themes or production aspects I’ve listed here:

1. As you think about your paper, it might be useful to review the reading from “Film Terms and Topics for Film Analysis and Writing.”
2. In your paper, please incorporate at least three secondary sources. These can be from our course readings, but you may also range outside those readings and use other sources.
3. Be sure to give your paper a descriptive title: e.g. for the topic representations of gender: “Motherhood in Testament, Advantageous, and T2: Judgment Day.”
