In connection to McMullin’s ethnography and for your final assignment, you will pick a health disparity suffered by a cultural group in connection to wider social determinants of health. You will research research the medical system by
applying the current anthropological theories that we have engaged throughout the course. You will examine the history of the medical system, guiding principles, role of healers and patients, and integration into the whole
culture. Your research project will include an extensive literature review and other appropriate methodologies. You will receive a detailed prompt for this assignment and we will go over it in your discussion sections.
