I have not yet chosen a certain topic for this paper so I will leave it up to you. There are no limitations when it comes to choosing a topic. The paper needs a cover page and a citation page on the back.
Format: Your paper must be 4-5 pages in length, in proper MLA format with a Works Cited page, and without a cover page. The Works Cited page does not count towards the 4-5 pages needed. It will need at least four sources. The paper should demonstrate your ability to think critically and synthesize ideas. You will organize your ideas around the thesis statement and provide sufficient support. Please spell-check your paper. In compliance with the English Department’s policy, a copy of the final project must be uploaded to TurnItIn via Blackboard. Topic selection: The purpose of this paper is to inform and interpret. You will choose a topic either from the list of possible topics, or one of your own choosing. This paper should not be an authoritative text, which means it is not an everything-I-know-about-XYZ. Your topic should be narrowed down to a specific aspect that you wish your reader to know. Be sure that your paper is not an oversimplification of something anyone could find in any reference book. Sources: Before you decide on a definitive topic, make sure there are sufficient sources available to you. The following quality sources are required: 1. At least one book or periodical It must be a hard copy or an e-book. The book’s length does not matter. 2. At least two scholarly journal articles (peer reviewed) It must not be a book. It must be retrieved via the library’s databases. 3. At least one website It cannot be from Wikipedia or an online encyclopedia. I would prefer if it came from an .edu (educational), a .gov (government), or a .org (organization) website. Use caution with .com (commercial) websites
