Building on Assignment 1 and your readings that you outlined in Assignment 2, offer a sustained analysis of a work from the CU Art Museum. As art historical research is multifaceted, there is not a single right answer to this question. An effective essay will establish a compelling “dialogue” between the observations you have made regarding the object and the research you have pursued in the library.
As part of your assignment, include additional observations of the object to those made in Writing Assignment 1 (please attach a copy of Assignment 1). How do your additional observations amplify or challenge the initial questions that you posed?
Finally, at the end of your paper, pose two questions that you might pursue further based on object evidence, on research in the library, etc.
The paper should be 6-8 pages double-spaced, 12 pt, times new roman font. Any citations should be in Chicago style. All assignments should be submitted as a Microsoft Word document through the course Canvas site. All assignments are due by 5:00pm on the due date. The course policy on late assignments applies. This assignment will count 30% towards your final grade.
