Critical Analysis

These are the guidelines given by the teacher: An analytic essay will analyze an event or a person in terms of breaking it down to the many parts that make it a whole. Each part is examined with questions. Each part may be defined and then addressed with why? how? what is the effect or cause?

Introduction will give a brief summary of the essay. Your thesis will be your analytic statement using the topic of the essay and follow with your opinion on the topic.

The Body of the essay:

You take each component and discuss why the article is written or what social issue is being criticized. Work in the descriptive details, the narrative, and cause and effect of the issue

Discuss your own opinion on the topic and support with your own examples, experiences.
