Video Editing Assignment:

1. Go to https://clipchamp.com/ and “Start anew Project”

 

2. Name the Project CS102_Your_Name_Video

a. Example: CS102_John_Doe_Video

 

3. Add the media using: + Add Media button

a. Upload Video – SampleVideo_1280x720_5mb.mp4

b. Upload Audio – SampleAudio_0.4mb.mp3

c. Upload Image – UIU-Logo-Vertical-Tag-FullColor.png

d. Upload Image of your choice – (Use the internet or use an image you already have)

e.

f. All the media should now be visible in the respective menus

4. First Task (Split and Crop the selection we want)

a. Move the white bar 23 seconds

 

b. Use the scissors tool to splice the video at that location.

 

c. Once spliced, click on the end sequence and it should highlight red

 

d. Delete the sequence by right clicking on the sequence and using the trash can

 

e. Play the video and check the effect

5. Second Task (Use the Color Filter to change the video to Black and White)

a. Click on the video sequence and it should highlight red and bring up the transformation menu

 

b. Select the Filter Group and the “B&W Filter 1”

c. Note: This change will not affect the film strip at the bottom but you can see the effect in the preview screen

 

d. Play the video and check the effect

6. Third Task (Add images to the start and finish)

a. Select the image media from the menu

 

b. Drag the UIU image to the front of the video

c. Drag your image to the end of the video

 

d. Play the video and check the effect

Note: During the image additions the sequence may freeze or not allow you to place the image in the main sequence, simply save close and re-open or refresh to fix most issues.

7. Forth Task (Add another audio track to the Video)

a. From the Audio menu, drag the Sample Audio below the film strip and it will be added below the film strip

 

 

b. Click on the audio bar in blue and resize it to fit under the image you added to the end of the video.

 

c. Play the video and check the effect

8. Fifth Task (Add a Title to the Video)

a. From the Title menu, choice the title format you want and drag it over the UIU Logo

 

b. Add Your Name to the Heading.

c. Play the video and check the effect

9. Export and Download your Video for submission

b. This may take a minute or two for processing. Afterward, the Download option will appear

 

c. Once downloaded, play the video in a media player to verify the correctness.

d. Once complete, run file compression to shrink the file size

e. Upload zip file to the assignment dropbox
