Definition of nursing

Review course content for basis of definition of nursing professional paper.  In addition, relevant information must be obtained from a minimum of 5 recent peer-reviewed professional NURSING literature articles (within the past 10 years).  Please note: Older sources are permitted for use in the paper, but cannot be used to count as one of the five literature articles. Use of the textbook & instructor lectures is permitted (no more than two times maximum), but this will not count as one of the minimum required sources for this assignment. Utilize findings from your personal research information to write a professional in which your definition of nursing is both demonstrated and applied. The following information must be addressed: Demonstrate   What is nursing and what makes it unique to the health care industry?    Discuss key defining criteria regarding the professional aspects of nursing. Think about why is nursing a profession?  How does the concept of caring fit into nursing?  What is the definition and mission of nursing to you?   How does your personal experience(s) or life background contribute to your belief system about nursing?  Name 1-2 Nursing Theorists who most closely relate to your own definition of nursing and provide rationale.   Based on your personal definition, how will you practice nursing and contribute to the future of the profession?   As a conclusion, provide a personal philosophy statement that will direct your individual practice of nursing within the healthcare industry. The paper must be a minimum of 7-8 pages (excluding title and reference page), typed and double-spaced using strict APA guidelines for writing, references, and citations.  Do not include an abstract, table of contents or a running head (typically used on the title page).  Include an introductory paragraph. Please utilize main headings (and subheadings only as needed) to address elements within paper. • Font type must be Times New Roman, size 12 with 1 inch margins per APA guidelines. • Must include a Title page and Reference page(s). Appendices are permitted and if used, must follow after the References section per APA requirements.
