Write an essay that shows the relationship between Candide (Voltaire’s magnum opus) and its context (literary, historical, social, and/or cultural). Alternatively, your essay may evaluate the plot in Candide or argue for/against Candide’s relevance to the current age/the twenty-first century. In any case, your essay must be convincing and thorough otherwise.

Basic Technical Requirements

1 1/2-3 double spaced pages in length (not including the works cited page)
Margins no more than 1 inch (right and left)
12-point Times New Roman or Arial format
Sources in MLA format

A very successful essay will have an introduction with enough background information and a clear thesis statement—followed by several well-organized and fully developed body paragraphs with detailed evidence from the satire. Also, it will have a solid conclusion, be free of punctuation-related mistakes and other oversight mistakes, and comply with MLA standards
