For this essay, you are to come up with an idea for a play that would explore any social or political themes you think are important to understanding today’s world. You don’t need to write the play itself, but you need a solid idea that you can describe in some detail in a couple well-organized pages.

Your paper should “pitch” the play like you were trying to get someone to stage it. What will capture the audience’s attention? What is the plot, who are the characters, what is the central conflict? And most importantly you want to clearly state how you believe this movie will help communicate the issues with your audience. You can write this however you want, (as just a summary of what you are imagining, or include actual scenes) BUT it must be clear about how it teaches your audience about important issues!
