Overview and Instructions
For each debate, Two people will argue the Plaintiff in the case and Two people will argue the defendant in the case. Each person is responsible for debating individually.
1. The debate will follow this structure:
· Plaintiff opening (two paragraphs)
· Plaintiff recommended outcome of case (two paragraphs)
· Defendant opening (two paragraphs)
· Defendant recommended outcome of case (two paragraphs)
2. Each person must debate pending laws chosen weekly and describe your major arguments and the facts supporting each argument. A bibliography of sources used should also be included.
3. Read the law and debate your stance on the law as a plaintiff (for the employee) or Defendant (for the employer).
4. Use the law to argue your case
