Income Tax Essay

Write an essay of NO MORE THAN 800 words.

The topic of your essay is either a defense of the income tax or an argument for the replacement of the income tax. If you want the income tax replaced, you must say what you will replace it with.

Your essay must support your argument with references to the book, Taxes in America: What Everyone Needs to Know, 2nd Edition by Leonard Burman and Joel Slemrod. References must be specific, for example, to page numbers or locations in the kindle version. If you do not have access to the book I will provide it for you.
