Write your interpretation of the poem “O Captain, My Captain,”

In a well-organized and insightful essay, respond to the topic for this assignment. Write a minimum of 750 words of text. Have a minimum of three citations in the text from three different sources and have a works cited page at the end of the essay using the current MLA format.

In your last paragraph, restate your thesis and your supporting points using different words than you used in the first paragraph. The conclusion is not to be a slipshod retelling of your introductory paragraph; write a convincing conclusion showing that your position on the topic is the correct one.

Be sure to use MLA requirements throughout the paper: do not use bold type, do not underline any words, use font size 12, use Times New Roman typeface, use only double spacing. Use the identity information on the upper left-hand corner of this paper and a header on the upper right-hand side of the paper.
